Shipwright school blog - timber framing courses have started

The timber framing courses have started this week with Henry and John Russell and a great enthusiastic group of students. Despite a little rain, which has not dampened their love of the challenge ahead, they are making good progress with the timbers, setting out wall plates and cross frames.
The foundations are ready to go (although walls made some 10 inches shorter than expected) and we have lots of beautiful hand cut local wood to work with.
