Marine Operative, Beaulieu River

Salary – £27,000 – £31,760 Depending on experience

40 hours per week (Monday – Sunday)

A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Marine Operative to assist the boatyard team in the lifting, launching and storage of all vessels within the Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour. We are looking for the right candidate to assist with the lifting/washing, blocking off, cross-bracing and launching of boats as required. You will deputise for the Hoist Supervisor in their absence. You will also assist with the patrolling of the Beaulieu River to ensure that the river operates as efficiently and safely as possible in accordance with the Port Marine Safety Code.

In addition to this, you will provide a friendly and welcoming environment when dealing with enquiries from existing and prospective clients and ensure the highest standards of service to customers, representing the company at all times.

The successful candidate will have experience in the operation of boat handling, crane and machinery operations and storage of boats. You must have your own transport due to limited public transport being available in the area. You will need to be able to swim, have a clean Driving Licence, RYA Powerboat 2, VHF Licence and be able to work shifts.
