Buckler’s Hard is situated in Hampshire in the heart of the New Forest. We’re not far from Bournemouth and Southampton and there’s easy access from London.
By car
Our postcode for your satnav is SO42 7XB.
Take M27 exit junction 2 and follow the brown and white tourist signs towards Beaulieu. At Beaulieu Village, follow the brown and white tourist signs to Buckler’s Hard.
The car park opens at 10am with last entry at 5pm. The exit gates are locked at 8pm. There is no overnight parking.
A small parking charge applies.
There are designated spaces for disabled visitors.
Visitors driving motorhomes or towing caravans can park their vehicles in the overflow car park. There are no height restrictions entering or leaving the site. Please note there is no overnight camping other than as part of an organised caravan rally.
Be animal aware! The New Forest National Park is home to some amazing animals and we share the roads with horses, donkeys and more. Please read the National Park Authority’s advice for New Forest Drivers and drive carefully on your way to Buckler’s Hard.
By public transport
Travel by train, ferry or bus for all or part of your journey to Buckler’s Hard and we’ll reward you with 20% off our standard admission. Simply present your travel tickets on arrival, valid on the day of your visit, to claim your discount. Please note this cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, including discounted family tickets or the river cruise.
Train
Take the train from London Waterloo to Brockenhurst. There’s a taxi rank at Brockenhurst station and the cost of a journey to Buckler’s Hard by taxi currently costs approximately £20. Or why not hire a bike and enjoy a bike trip across the New Forest?Bicycle

Buckler’s Hard is a popular destination with walkers and there is a 2¼ mile riverside walk between Beaulieu and Buckler’s Hard which takes approx. 1 hour each way. Talk to one of our team for more details or download the route from the Beaulieu River website.Where to stay
